Day by day
Welcome at Colombo International Airport, then transfer to Kandy via the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela to see baby elephants being bottle fed and bathing in the river. Evening Kandyan folkloric dance performance. Overnight at Riverdel (3*), OZO Kandy (4*) or Cinnamon Citadel (5*), or similar.
Visit the century old Royal Botanical Garden at Peradeniya, known for its roses and orchids. In the evening tour Kandy, including the Art and Crafts Centre, Gem Museum and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
Drive through green tea plantations to Nuwara Eliya, visit a tea plantation and factory, and taste a fresh cup of Ceylon tea. Overnight at Galway Forest (3*), Alpine Hotel (4*) or Grand Hotel (5*), or similar.
Explore the hill town, its fruit and vegetable farms and the Sita Amman Temple, with time to relax at your hotel.
Travel via Kitulgala, the Bridge on the River Kwai location, with optional white water rafting and the Belilena Caves, then continue to Bentota. Overnight at Taprospa (3*), Bentota Beach (4*) or Cinnamon Bay (5*), or similar.
Enjoy the beach, water sports or Ayurveda treatments, with an optional boat ride on the Bentota River.
Drive to Colombo, see Independence Square, the Fort and Pettah, and visit handicraft and gem shops. Farewell dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Overnight at Mirage (3*), Ramada (4*) or Kingsbury (5*), or similar.
After breakfast, a private transfer to the airport.
