Bentota to Nuwara Eliya
Drive inland via Kitulgala, famed as the filming location of The Bridge on the River Kwai, with optional white water rafting and an optional 4x4 excursion to the 2,500 year old Belilena Caves. Continue to Nuwara Eliya. Dinner and overnight at Araliya Green Hills or similar.
Nuwara Eliya, the Little England
Tour the hill town beneath Pidurutalagala, Sri Lanka's highest mountain, drive through green tea plantations, and visit a tea factory to taste a fresh cup of Ceylon tea. Dinner and overnight at Araliya Green Hills or similar.
Kandy and Pinnawela to Colombo
Visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela, then tour Kandy including the Art and Crafts Centre, Gem Museum and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. In Colombo, see Independence Square, the Fort and Pettah, and shop for souvenirs. Farewell dinner at a Chinese restaurant and overnight at Galle Face Hotel or similar.
